An Indian nurse living in Bahrain, Manu Mohanan, became the latest millionaire after winning the Dh30 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s first raffle draw of 2025, Gulf News reported. Mohanan purchased the winning ticket, number 535948, on December 26.
When contacted by the show hosts Richard and Bouchra, Mohanan expressed disbelief and gratitude. “I can’t believe it. Thank you so much. I’ve been buying tickets with 15-16 friends for over five years,” said Mohanan, who has lived in Bahrain for seven years.
Bouchra highlighted that Mohanan’s win came through a free ticket under Big Ticket’s ‘buy two, get one free’ promotion.
Last month’s winner, Aravind Appukuttan, who won Dh25 million in December 2024, joined the hosts in picking the latest winning ticket. Appukuttan shared how the prize transformed his life, allowing him to pay off debts, support his family, and make investments.
Meanwhile, Big Ticket announced the return of its ‘The Big Win’ contest. Customers who purchase at least two tickets in a single transaction by January 26 will have the chance to join the grand finale live draw in February. The January promotion offers a Dh25 million prize, with the live draw scheduled for February 3.
Additionally, weekly e-draws will award Dh1 million to one lucky ticket holder. Tickets are available online or at counters in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain International Airports.
