Filipinos can now visit India without paying visa fees for short stays, as the Indian government announced a free 30-day double-entry e-tourist visa valid from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.
The Indian Embassy in Manila said the offer applies only to the 30-day e-tourist category and can be processed online through the official portal https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. By default, successful applicants will receive a visa valid for 30 days from their date of arrival.
Travelers must apply at least four days before their intended trip and no earlier than 30 days before departure. Passports should have at least six months’ validity, and visitors may be required to show proof of onward or return travel as well as sufficient funds upon entry.
The embassy clarified that regular fees still apply for other e-visa types, including longer-stay tourist, business, medical, conference, and student visas. All e-visas are non-extendable, non-convertible, and cannot be used to access protected or restricted areas.
Those opting for regular paper visas, such as a standard tourist visa, will also need to pay the applicable charges. Full guidelines are available on the official Indian visa website.
