For the first time, Al-Futtaim IKEA is bringing the lively and colorful Filipino Masquerade Festival to its stores across the UAE. From October 23 to 27, customers can immerse themselves in the vibrant celebration, which is famous for its elaborate masks, festive costumes, and joyful spirit. The festival, originating from Bacolod City in the Philippines—known as the “City of Smiles”—was initially created to uplift spirits and celebrate the resilience of the Bacolodnons.
During the five-day event, Al-Futtaim IKEA will offer a variety of authentic Filipino dishes, such as Bistek Tagalog, Chicken Sotanghon Soup, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Menudo, and Beef Pares. Guests can also enjoy Filipino desserts like Leche Flan and Buko Pandan.
In addition to the special menu, the festival will feature activities for all ages, including piñata breaking, face painting, mask decorating, and a chance to spin the wheel for prizes. Families can also take part in board and card games, making it a fun and engaging event for everyone.
