A couple, who were also business partners, were fatally shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Mexico, Pampanga, on Friday afternoon, October 4, local authorities reported.
The victims, identified as Arvin Dayrit Lulu and Lerma Waje Lulu, both residents of Mabalacat, were attacked by two unidentified men while driving along Paroba Street in Barangay Santo Rosario at around 4:20 p.m., according to a police report.
The couple was traveling in a black Hilux pick-up truck when the assailants opened fire. They were immediately rushed to the Mexico Community Hospital by emergency responders, but were declared dead on arrival.
Police Corporal Jonathan Roy Ilagan confirmed the incident but refrained from sharing further details, citing an ongoing investigation. Local authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspects, who fled towards Jose Abad Santos Street after the shooting. CCTV footage is being reviewed to aid in the identification of the attackers.
The Angeles Forensic Unit has been called in to examine the crime scene for additional evidence.
