The second edition of the Emerging Clinical Nursing Education Series (ECNES) has set a new standard in clinical nursing education, with 500 participants from across the globe joining this impactful program. This year’s series saw significant contributions from two distinguished resource persons from the Middle East: Abigail Garcia Reyes, NP, MSN and Abdulkarim Agga, MAN, RN, CLSSYB, whose presentations were pivotal to the program’s success.
Abigail, a nursing educator with extensive experience in clinical practice and education, delivered a compelling session on innovative teaching strategies. “I was astounded to see the commitment to lifelong learning that Filipino nursing professionals have throughout the Emerging Clinical Nursing Education Series (ECNES). Abdulkarim, another esteemed expert from the Middle East, focused on the integration of technology in clinical teaching. His session highlighted practical approaches to using digital tools to enhance learning outcomes. Abdulkarim shared, “The feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. It’s clear that there is a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement within the nursing community. This platform allowed us to explore new ways of teaching and to support the professional development of nurses worldwide.”
The success of this edition was further underscored by the Filipino Nursing Diaspora Network’s (FiND) Executive Director, Dr. Jerome Babate, who praised the program’s expanded reach and impact. “This year, we witnessed an unprecedented increase in participation, with 500 individuals taking part, compared to the first edition supported by Shearwater Health. The inclusion of Abigail and Abdulkarim as resource persons significantly enriched the series. Their expertise brought new perspectives and insights, enhancing the overall experience for our participants.”
Dr Babate also highlighted the strengthened collaborations that contributed to this year’s success. “Our partnership with St. Anthony’s College and other esteemed organizations has been instrumental in expanding our faculty and broadening the scope of our coverage. This collaborative effort has allowed us to offer a more comprehensive program, reflecting our commitment to advancing clinical nursing education.”
