Expo City Dubai is opening its doors to climate enthusiasts with the announcement of a free Green Zone Day Pass for the upcoming COP28 UAE, scheduled from December 3 to 12. Interested individuals can visit the official COP28 website to book their tickets.
The Green Zone will operate daily from 10am to 6pm, with some special events extending into the evening hours from 6pm to 10pm. Notably, children under the age of 12 can enjoy access without registration.
A comprehensive site map and agenda are available online to help visitors maximize their experience. However, it’s important to note that access to the Green Zone during the first three days of the event, from November 30 to December 2, will be restricted to invitees only.
The Green Zone promises to be a bustling hub of climate action, featuring over 300 talks, interactive exhibits, and art installations dedicated to climate change and sustainability. It will also host more than 200 groups from various sectors, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to learn and connect with experts and activists.
To maintain a sustainable approach, attendees are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro for transportation. Each ticket is date-specific and allows for single entry only, emphasizing the event’s commitment to organized and efficient visitor management.
The event is not just about education and networking; it also aims to foster inclusivity and engagement. The Green Zone, managed by the COP28 Presidency, is designed to complement the Blue Zone, a separate area managed by the UNFCCC for accredited delegates only. The Green Zone is open to a broader audience, including public and private sectors, NGOs, and the general public, making it a diverse and inclusive space for climate dialogue.
