Household workers in Dubai to receive free medical check-ups, haircuts, and more at ‘Salamat Kabayan’ event

The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, in partnership with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Dubai, is set to host the 3rd edition of “Salamat Kabayan,” a special event dedicated to household service workers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The event will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Al Asma Alniaman Sports Hall near the Etisalat Metro Station, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The “Salamat Kabayan” event is designed to provide vital government services and special activities exclusively for household service workers, offering them support and expressing appreciation for their contributions.

From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, government posts will be available to provide the following services:

  • Contract verification
  • OWWA membership registration or renewal
  • SSS membership
  • Pag-IBIG Fund membership
  • ATN helpdesk (Assistance to Nationals)

In addition to these services, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities that will run throughout the day, including:

  • Free basic medical check-up and consultation
  • Free haircut and nail cleaning
  • Food and drinks preparation demo
  • Scholarship grants for qualified attendees
  • Sing and dance presentations
  • Exciting raffle draws, freebies, and giveaways

Attendees are encouraged to bring their Emirates ID and must be on a household service workers visa to access these benefits.

The event is being organized in collaboration with the Filipino Social Club-Dubai and CAFFWOA, ensuring a well-rounded day of service and entertainment for all participants.
