Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced updated operating hours for its services during the holy month of Ramadan, covering customer happiness centres, paid parking, public transport networks, marine services, and vehicle testing facilities.
The RTA said the adjusted schedules are intended to ensure services remain accessible and convenient, reflecting changes in travel demand and working patterns during the fasting period.
Several customer happiness centres across Dubai will follow shortened timings. Branches in Deira, Al Twar, Al Manara, and Al Kifaf will operate Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm, and on Fridays from 9am to 12pm. The Al Barsha customer happiness centre will run Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, while the Umm Ramool centre will continue operating 24 hours a day.
Vehicle registration and technical inspection centres, including Tasjeel and other service provider facilities, will implement split-shift operations. Most centres will open in the morning from 8am to 4pm, then resume evening services from 8pm until midnight.
Friday schedules at these centres will include a morning shift from 8am to 12pm, followed by evening hours starting either at 4pm or 8pm depending on the location. The RTA also clarified that in selected centres, the 4pm to 8pm window will only offer technical inspection services, with vehicle registration not available during that period.
Additional inspection locations such as Al Awir, Nad Al Hamar, Al Jaddaf, and Motor City will provide evening operations during Ramadan to meet demand, while some centres will also offer limited inspection-only services on Sundays.
Paid public parking across Dubai will continue from Monday to Saturday, with fees applied in two daily time blocks: 8am to 6pm and 8pm to 12am. Multi-storey parking facilities will remain accessible 24 hours a day.
Dubai Metro schedules will also be adjusted for Ramadan. Red and Green line trains will operate Monday to Thursday from 5am to 12am, with Friday services extended until 1am the next day. On Saturdays, the Metro will run from 5am to 12am, while Sunday services will begin later at 8am and continue until midnight.
Dubai Tram services will run Monday to Saturday from 6am until 1am the following day, while Sunday operations will start at 9am and also continue until 1am.
The RTA advised commuters to check updated bus timetables through the S’hail app, while marine transport schedules will be published through the authority’s official website.
