Helper’s lucky pick wins Saudi banker AED100,000 in Big Ticket draw

Jeddah resident Kamaleddine Badghaish, along with nine others, won Dh100,000 each in the Big Ticket live draw on December 31. However, what sets Kamaleddine’s story apart is his promise to his helper, who chose the winning numbers for him.

Kamaleddine, a 57-year-old retired banker and a long-time participant in the Big Ticket draws for the past four years, was on a family vacation in Italy when he received the news of his win. He had previously asked his helper to pick the numbers, promising to share the prize if they won. To his astonishment, they did. “I am a big fan of Big Ticket,” Kamaleddine said, expressing his joy and commitment to share his winnings with his helper. “This money will help her and her family,” he added, highlighting the impact of his win on his helper’s life.

Another lucky winner, Alaa Azen, a Palestinian national and sales delivery manager residing in Al Ain, has been participating in the Big Ticket for three years. Delighted with his Dh100,000 win, Alaa plans to use the money for his sons’ rent in Malaysia, where they study Cybersecurity. “Everyone has a dream, and Big Ticket is the tool to achieve that dream,” he shared.

Marwan Afif, an Abu Dhabi resident and Lebanese singer, experienced a stroke of luck after a break from purchasing Big Ticket entries. “I bought one ticket and got another as an offer. So I got 2 tickets free, and my free ticket brought me luck,” Marwan said. He plans to use his Dh100,000 to pay off a loan, emphasizing the unpredictability and timeliness of his win.

The Big Ticket draw continues to create excitement, with a grand prize of Dh15 million up for grabs in the next draw on February 3. Fans have until January 31 to purchase their tickets either online or at Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Ain International Airport counters.
