On Monday, various parts of Sharjah, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah experienced rainfall of different intensities, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Earlier, the NCM had warned residents to expect rain due to the potential formation of heavy clouds in some inland areas.

Significant downpours were recorded in Sharjah’s Al Dhaid and Madam Road, as well as in Ras Al Khaimah’s Suhailah, Jabal Al Rahabah, Jebel Jais, and Ghalilah. Visuals shared by Storm Centre showed heavy rain falling on Sharjah’s roads, while a video revealed a waterfall flowing in Ras Al Khaimah due to the rains.

The NCM issued orange and yellow weather alerts, warning of hazardous conditions in the northern parts of the UAE, with strong winds reaching up to 60 km/h in some areas. These conditions are expected to persist in parts of Abu Dhabi from Monday through Wednesday, October 9.
