Heavier traffic expected at NAIA Terminal 2 starting November 5

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has issued an advisory on its social media channels, urging passengers to expect increased traffic at Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) starting November 5, 2024. This follows a planned transfer of domestic flights from three other airlines to Terminal 2 as part of NAIA’s ongoing terminal rehabilitation and reshuffling initiative.

With the anticipated higher passenger volume, PAL is advising its customers to take precautionary measures to avoid delays and ensure smooth travel. Here are the key points of the advisory:

Allot extra time: Travelers are encouraged to check-in online and arrive at least three hours before domestic flight departures to allow ample time for airport procedures.

Monitor flight status: Passengers are advised to stay informed about their flight schedules through the airline’s official website at www.philippineairlines.com or the dedicated flight status section at Flight Status.

Label luggage: PAL also recommends that passengers properly label their luggage with their name, contact information, and a unique identifier to ease baggage identification at the carousel area.

Follow airport announcements: It is important to pay attention to public announcements and terminal signs for updates during the terminal transition.

The airline clarified that despite the reshuffling of flights for other airlines, PAL’s terminal assignments will remain unchanged:

  • All PAL domestic flights will continue to operate from NAIA Terminal 2.
  • All PAL international flights will depart from and arrive at NAIA Terminal 1.
