Filipina actress and fashion icon Heart Evangelista is set to be awarded the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year at the prestigious EMIGALA Awards in Dubai this April.
In an Instagram Story, Evangelista confirmed her attendance, saying, “See you soon, Dubai,” as she reposted an announcement from the event’s organizers. The EMIGALA Awards celebrate both Arab and international figures who have made significant impact in fashion and beauty.
Evangelista’s evolution from local actress to global style figure has earned her features in top publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Forbes France. Known as the Philippines’ “Queen of Fashion,” she has championed Filipino designers while collaborating with global luxury labels.
This year’s EMIGALA Awards will take place on April 22 and 23 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Last year, fellow Filipina Pia Wurtzbach received the same honor, while designers Michael Cinco and Furne Amato were among the earlier awardees.
