A former grocery store worker in Colorado is under scrutiny as police file numerous indecent exposure cases against him. PEOPLE revealed Stephen Masalta’s arrest in February following reports of him allegedly masturbating outside various establishments, including coffee shops, dating back to July 2023. Shockingly, during his two-month tenure at Safeway grocery store from December 2023 to February 2024, Masalta is accused of ejaculating onto food items. CBS News reported on the alarming developments, highlighting the severity of the allegations.
Safeway has issued a statement expressing deep concern over the situation and pledged full cooperation with law enforcement and health authorities. Police have leveled a barrage of charges against Masalta, including 14 counts of indecent exposure, two counts of attempted indecent exposure, four counts of unlawful sexual contact, and 16 counts of attempted sexual assault on a child. PEOPLE suggests that additional victims may surface, potentially leading to more charges against him.
While it remains unclear whether Masalta has entered pleas or obtained legal representation, he is scheduled for a first appearance on March 22, according to PEOPLE’s report.
