A grade three pupil became emotional during their school’s Recognition Day when he saw that his overseas Filipino worker (OFW) mother was the one to place his medal around his neck.
In a report by the program “Dapat Alam Mo,” the mother, who works abroad, came home unexpectedly to surprise her son as he received an award from the school.
The child immediately hugged his mother tightly upon seeing her on stage, not expecting her to come home as he was used to attending school events without his parents.
