The Province of Sultan Kudarat, under the leadership of Governor Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu, generated an impressive ₱2.5 billion in trade and revenue sales during the three-day Global Food Week 2025 held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in the United Arab Emirates.
The milestone was achieved through the province’s participation in the Halal-Friendly Philippine Pavilion, where Sultan Kudarat was featured as the showcase province representing the Philippines’ halal-certified food, culture, and investment potential. The event strengthened Sultan Kudarat’s reputation as a key halal hub in Mindanao and a driver of halal trade and innovation in the region.
The province’s contribution to the national delegation was further recognized when Governor Mangudadatu was cited for Global Halal Recognition by Prime Group during the Recognition Ceremony of the Halal-Friendly Philippine Pavilion on October 23, 2025. The honor was conferred in appreciation of the province’s dedication and support to the Philippines’ participation in Global Food Week and its efforts to promote the country’s halal industry on an international scale.
Representing Governor Mangudadatu at the ceremony was his Chief of Staff, Kahar Dalaten, who received the citation on behalf of the provincial government. The recognition was presented in acknowledgement of Sultan Kudarat’s strong partnership in advancing halal development, tourism, and global market integration.
The event was graced by H.E. Alfonso A. Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE; PM Aleem Siddiqui M. Guiapal, DTI Halal Project Management Office (PMO) Head of Investment Promotions and Industry Development; Provincial Director Eddie De Asis of DTI Region 12; Prof. Gau Raganit of the Philippine Business Council–Abu Dhabi; and Mrs. Evangeline Monjardin of the Philippine Business Council–Dubai and Northern Emirates.
Also in attendance were Dr. Mary Jane Alvero-Al Mahdi, CEO of Prime Group, and Malou Prado, CEO of MPQ Travel & Tourism, the official organizer of the Philippine Pavilion’s participation.
