More overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will soon have faster access to employment contract verification and Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs), as the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) announced that it is tripling the weekly slots in its Online Employment Contract Verification System (OECVS) from 1,000 to 3,000 starting August 18, 2025
.
The OECVS—launched on July 7, 2025 in pilot phase—allows OFWs to submit and verify their contracts entirely online, eliminating the need for in-person visits to the MWO. Through the platform, applicants can upload their employment contracts and supporting documents, pay the AED 40 verification fee, and track their applications remotely. The system also enables workers to resubmit missing or corrected documents without restarting the process or paying again, provided they do so within 15 days of initial submission.
The online verification portal accepts up to 200 applications per weekday from 8:00 AM to 11:59 PM (Dubai time), with slots released on a first-come, first-served basis. Starting August 18, the expanded weekly capacity will allow more OFWs to secure their verification and OECs in time for travel
.
The MWO emphasized that the increase in slots is part of its commitment to making the system more accessible and convenient, responding to feedback from OFWs since the pilot’s launch. The initiative complements the traditional in-person verification process, which remains available via appointment or walk-in for those with imminent flights, as well as through authorized representatives for workers already in the Philippines.
OFWs can access the online verification service at dmw.dataflowgroup.com or through the official MWO Dubai website and Facebook page.
For contract verification, applicants generally need:
A notarized employment contract that meets Philippine and UAE labor standards
A valid passport (at least six months before expiration)
A valid employment visa or Emirates ID
Employer and worker information forms
Additional supporting documents depending on the worker’s status
The MWO urged OFWs to secure their slots early, ensure all requirements are complete, and follow the submission guidelines carefully to avoid delays.
