Dubai International Airport has become the new home of the world’s largest Lego store, offering a unique and interactive shopping experience for travelers. The store, a collaborative venture between Lagardere Travel Retail and Lego Travel Retail, is strategically positioned at the B Gates in Terminal 3, covering an impressive 190 square meters.
Designed to mirror giant Lego bricks, the store boasts several interactive zones that aim to ignite creativity and engage customers with the vast Lego universe. Upon entering, visitors encounter the Minifigure Scanner, a fun, interactive feature that animates a Lego Minifigure on the screen when a hand is scanned.
The store’s inventory includes a wide array of Lego sets, encompassing both classic and the latest collections, ensuring offerings for Lego enthusiasts of all ages. The Digibox, an innovative augmented reality feature, allows customers to witness their chosen Lego sets come to life on screen, adding an extra layer of excitement to the shopping experience.
Additionally, the store houses remarkable installations, including a meticulously crafted mosaic wall depicting the iconic Dubai skyline and a towering 3D Lego pilot. These installations, crafted with tens of thousands of Lego bricks and hundreds of hours of dedication, not only demonstrate incredible craftsmanship but also serve as a perfect photo backdrop for visitors.
In celebration of World Lego Day and the store’s grand opening, festivities were held from January 25 to 28, where travelers had the chance to interact with a walkabout Lego pilot and receive one of over 1,000 Lego gifts.
