Golden Visa program in Greece offers Filipinos a gateway to Europe

Filipino families eyeing a European lifestyle now have a golden opportunity to relocate to Greece, thanks to the Golden Visa program. For a minimum investment of €250,000, Filipinos can secure a residency permit in Greece and bring their immediate family along, including children under 21 and parents of any age.

Vicky Luis, president of Golden Visa Centrale, highlights the program as a gateway to superior education and healthcare systems for both children and parents. The investment targets the city of Patra, Greece’s third-largest city, known for its academic atmosphere and strategic location in the Peloponnese peninsula.

Not just a ticket to a new home, the program offers substantial perks: a five-year permanent residence visa, family reunification for up to three generations, and visa-free travel within Schengen zones. Additionally, the process is known for its speed and convenience, requiring no physical stay and allowing remote applications.

Beneficiaries of the program gain access to Greece’s public education and healthcare, enhancing the appeal for families. The Golden Visa also opens doors to 27 European countries without the need for additional visas.

While the program does not currently offer explicit work rights in Greece, it permits business ownership. This positions Greece as an attractive destination, especially compared to other countries with similar programs, like Portugal and Spain.

Since its inception in 2013, the Greek Golden Visa program has issued 31,000 visas and injected €2.3 billion into the economy, marking its success and popularity among international investors and families seeking a European base.
