Dubai has witnessed a significant surge in the issuance of Golden Visas in the first half of 2023, marking a 52% increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. The announcement was made by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
The GDRFA further highlighted a 63% surge in the issuance of residency visas during this timeframe, showcasing the Emirate’s growing attraction as a destination for permanent settlers. In a positive trend indicating recovery and growth, tourism in the region also augmented, registering a 21% hike.
The spike in Golden Visas and residency visas issuance highlights the sustained efforts of the Emirate to welcome qualified individuals from around the world to benefit from the opportunities available in the region, thereby fostering a culture of innovation, business growth, and mutual prosperity. The Golden Visa provides long-term residency to investors, entrepreneurs, specialized talents, researchers, and outstanding students.
