The creation of Riyadh-based Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, this show-stopping bicycle is not just a spectacle but is also functional. With its weight standing at 7kg, it comprises approximately 4kg of pure gold.
Every detail of this bicycle, ranging from its drop handlebars to the intricate ridges of its gear chain, is crafted from 24K gold. Mohammad Abbasi, the chief digital officer of Al Romaizan, stated in an interview with the Khaleej Times that around 20 artisans worked diligently for about six months to bring this design to life.
At the recent Watch and Jewellery Show held at the Sharjah Expo, the bike dazzled onlookers. Fans and aficionados can soon catch a closer look at this masterpiece, as the company plans to display it in one of its flagship stores in Dubai.
While it serves as an epitome of luxury, this bike is also practical for those who dare to ride such a magnificent creation. Abbasi emphasized, “It’s not just for show; the buyer can actually ride it.” Moreover, he clarified that while the core components are made of gold, the tyres, brakes, and seats remain traditional for functional reasons.
With five prospective clients already showing keen interest, Al Romaizan is on the verge of closing a deal on this golden bicycle.
