GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdez shared updates on the future of It’s Showtime during an interview at the “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” event held in Malacañang. She revealed that the popular Kapamilya noontime show is likely to stay on the Kapuso network for 2025.
“Siguro mga 95 percent, ano na yan. Wala namang problema kasi e. Konting pag-uusap lang,” she said in a Pilipino Star Ngayon report, indicating that discussions are progressing smoothly.
Gozon-Valdez emphasized that retaining It’s Showtime is a priority, but also mentioned TiktoClock as a potential fallback if agreements are not finalized.
“Basta magkaayos lang ‘di ba? Dun sa terms,” she said, explaining that the network wants to ensure backup plans are in place should any changes occur.
Addressing financial terms, Gozon-Valdez clarified that there are no rating concerns, as It’s Showtime continues to perform strongly. “Wala silang utang. Sa ratings, wala kaming problema. Ang taas-taas ng ratings ng Showtime,” she added.
On the rumored return of TAPE, Inc. to GMA 7, Gozon-Valdez confirmed receiving formal communication from the production company but stated that financial discussions need to take precedence.
The Kapamilya noontime show officially joined the Kapuso lineup in March, replacing the now-defunct Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
