Global Village ushers in its 28th season with an array of new attractions

Global Village opened its gates for its 28th season yesterday, Wednesday 18 October at 6.00 pm, promising visitors a ‘More Wonderful World’. This leading multicultural family destination in the region, known for blending culture, entertainment, dining, and shopping, is back after a record-breaking 27th season which saw 9 million guests.

The park’s latest edition, which will run until 28 April 2024, will feature 27 pavilions, over 3,500 shopping outlets, and more than 250 dining options. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore more than 90 cultures from across the globe.

Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, expressed excitement about the new season, praising the exceptional teams and partners for their efforts in showcasing the world’s diverse cultures. “Dubai’s Global Village has been an international phenomenon for nearly three decades. We are eager to welcome visitors to Season 28, which promises an unparalleled array of attractions and experiences.”

Entertainment highlights for this season include 40,000 shows featuring international acts such as AAINJAA, Fusion Japan, and Dhol Foundation. Kids will be treated to performances by beloved characters like Peter Rabbit and PJ Masks. A captivating fire and laser show will be showcased at Dragon Lake, and visitors can witness dazzling 3D projection shows at the iconic Dallah at the Gate of the World.

In addition to the entertainment, there are over 195 rides and games at Carnaval™, new exhibits at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® Odditorium, and the introduction of Mini World – a destination showcasing global cultures through miniature landmarks.

To facilitate a smooth visit, the Roads and Transport Authority has added a new bus route, Route 107. Enhanced services in parking zones have been introduced, including expanded entrances and exits, and new lanes to streamline the flow of traffic.

Various ticket options are available for every preference. Tickets purchased online come with a 10% discount. The ‘Any Day’ ticket is priced at AED30 at the gate and AED27 online, while the ‘Value’ ticket costs AED25 at the gate and AED22.5 online.
