Global Village embraces Ramadan with extended hours and new attractions

Dubai’s Global Village is set to welcome visitors with a festive Ramadan atmosphere, extending its operating hours and introducing new experiences to enhance the Holy Month’s spirit of togetherness.

Decorated with Ramadan-themed displays, Global Village will operate from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM (Sunday to Wednesday) and 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM (Thursday to Saturday), offering guests a vibrant nighttime experience in line with the #RamadanInDubai campaign.

A key highlight this season is the launch of Multaqa Global Village, a designated seating area designed to bring families and friends together in a cozy, majlis-style setting. Located between the Main Stage and Dragon Lake, this space allows guests to relax, socialize, and enjoy their iftar or suhoor meals with a selection of snacks and drinks available from nearby food carts.

As part of the Ramadan festivities, the park will host live performances from the Arabesque Orchestra, featuring 35 musicians, as well as solo performances on traditional instruments like the oud, nay, harp, and violin. Visitors can also enjoy the Tannoura dance show, adding a cultural touch to the entertainment lineup.

For children, the Kids’ Theatre will showcase The Secret of the Lantern, a puppet show inspired by Ramadan traditions that highlights themes of kindness and generosity. The show will run on Thursdays to Sundays at scheduled time slots.

Global Village will also feature a Ramadan Cannon, which will be fired daily at sunset to signal the end of fasting.

For those looking to shop, over 30 cultural pavilions will offer Ramadan-themed products, including handcrafted souvenirs, traditional clothing, decorations, and specialty foods such as luqaimat, kebabs, and qatayef.

Fitness enthusiasts can take part in the Ramadan Step Challenge, where visitors who complete 10,000 steps within the park can win exciting prizes by tracking their progress via the Global Village mobile app.
