Global Village officially opened its landmark 30th season on Wednesday, transforming Dubai’s popular multicultural destination into a dazzling celebration of music, light, and color.
Marking three decades of cultural exchange and entertainment, the opening night treated guests to a sensory feast — from street performances to a breathtaking drone show that illuminated the night sky.
Visitors were greeted by the rhythmic beats of the Retumbar drummers and a vivid Parade of the World, featuring representatives from all 30 international pavilions. The festive atmosphere intensified as confetti and streamers filled the air, symbolizing the start of a new season under the theme “A More Wonderful World.”
A show-stopping aerial display followed, as hundreds of drones formed the number “30” above Global Village before wing-suited skydivers pierced through the glowing formation, leaving fiery trails that drew gasps from the crowd.
Throughout the destination, performances unfolded across multiple stages, from cultural showcases to stunt acts and children’s entertainment. A new laser spectacle at Dragon Lake and a light show at the main stage added to the evening’s magic, while fireworks capped off the celebration in signature Global Village style.
Season 30 offers visitors more than 3,500 shopping outlets, 250 dining options, 200 rides and attractions, and over 40,000 live shows. Fireworks displays will continue every Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m., while the park opens daily from 4 p.m. onward.
