Gilas Pilipinas Women’s 3×3 team delivered a dominant performance at Stop 2 of the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League 2025 Asia-Pacific 1 Conference, overpowering Chinese Taipei, 21-13, to clinch the top spot in Doha, Qatar, on Friday.
Kacey Dela Rosa led the charge with a game-high 12 points, while teammates Cielo Pagdulagan and Kristine Cayabyab each chipped in four. Despite a strong effort from Chinese Taipei’s Li Chen-i, who tallied eight points, the Philippines proved too strong on both ends of the court.
The Filipinas remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, dispatching Singapore, 18-9, and host country Qatar, 21-4, in the earlier rounds, further solidifying their standing as regional contenders.
On the men’s side, Gilas 3×3 settled for third place after falling to Qatar in a narrow 21-19 semifinal defeat. They bounced back with a 19-11 win over Indonesia, with Nic Cabañero scoring nine points to secure the bronze.
