Get to know the 12 inspiring finalists of The Global Filipino Icon Awards 2025

The stage is set for The Global Filipino Icon Awards 2025, happening on April 5, 2025, at Dusit Thani Dubai, where 12 exceptional Filipinos will be honored for their contributions, advocacies, and impact on the community. These inspiring individuals represent the best of the Filipino spirit—leading with purpose, creating change, and uplifting others in the UAE and beyond.

Before the prestigious awards night, the finalists will participate in a deliberation session on March 15, 2025, where a panel of judges will carefully evaluate their journeys, advocacies, and influence to determine this year’s Emerging Global Filipino Icon.

Meet the 12 Icon 2025 Finalists:

Gino Banola

A 3D designer and cultural advocate, Gino is dedicated to preserving Filipino heritage through the revival of Baybayin and Filipino martial arts. He merges technology and tradition through workshops and creative projects that reconnect Filipinos to their roots.

What’s next

The finalists will undergo a deliberation on March 15, 2025, where the judges will assess their contributions and select the Emerging Global Filipino Icon for this year.

The celebration will culminate on April 5, 2025, during the formal awards night at Dusit Thani Dubai, where the finalists, together with special awardees from the individual and business sectors, will be recognized.

The event will be graced by Miss Kara David, with special appearances from Arci Muñoz and Shereen Ahmed, along with notable personalities and community leaders.
