A 62-year-old German man from Magdeburg, who voluntarily received 217 COVID-19 vaccine doses over 29 months, showed no side effects from the excessive jabs, according to researchers studying his case. The findings, published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, revealed that the man’s immune system remained robust, contrary to concerns about potential adverse effects from “hyper-vaccination.”
Initially attracting attention in 2022 for receiving 90 jabs, the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, continued to pursue vaccinations despite medical advice against it. Speculations arose suggesting he collected completed vaccination cards for fraudulent purposes, although no criminal charges were filed.
The investigation, led by German researchers, uncovered evidence of 130 vaccinations over nine months. The man claims to have received doses from eight different COVID-19 vaccines, including mRNA versions. Despite concerns about the impact of numerous vaccinations on immune response, the study found that the man exhibited significantly higher concentrations of immune cells and antibodies compared to a control group that received the recommended three vaccinations.
Remarkably, the man experienced no vaccine-related side effects, nor did he test positive for COVID-19 or show signs of past infection. While the case offers insights into “hyper-vaccination,” researchers caution against drawing broad conclusions from this singular instance.
Kilian Schober, a virologist from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and study co-author, emphasized the importance of not endorsing hyper-vaccination practices. Experts express surprise at the unprecedented number of vaccinations received by the individual, suggesting it is unlikely anyone has received more vaccinations to date.
