Georcelle Dapat-Sy, the renowned dance teacher and founder of G-Force, revealed on Sunday that she has not yet reconnected with long-time collaborator Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli. This statement came after the recital for G-Force’s “Project 2024” at Solaire.
Dapat-Sy shared that despite their long-standing partnership, which spanned 16 years, they have not spoken since their last collaboration. G-Force was notably absent from Geronimo-Guidicelli’s 20th-anniversary celebration in May 2023, which Dapat-Sy attributed to “artistic differences.”
“No, we have not,” Dapat-Sy confirmed in an ABS-CBN News report when asked if she has reconnected with the Popstar Royalty. She expressed her gratitude for their past collaborations, saying, “I’ve done a lot of collaborations with Sarah Geronimo, and those are treasured collaborations. I am very thankful. I am very blessed for all the collabs that we’ve done.”
Dapat-Sy remains hopeful for the future, stating, “I wish her all the best, and I hope that she wishes all the best also for my team.”
The choreographer is well-known for her work with Geronimo-Guidicelli, including the choreography for the hit song “Tala.” Despite the current distance, Dapat-Sy continues to hold their past work in high regard and prays for a mended friendship in the future.
