Gene Padilla is turning controversy into ink after being at the center of a family drama involving his niece, Claudia Barretto. The comedian recently shared a video on Facebook revealing his new tattoo — the words “Mr. Uninvited” now permanently etched on his left arm.
The tattoo refers to the recent tension between Padilla and his former sister-in-law, Marjorie Barretto, who asserted that Gene was never invited to Claudia’s wedding in the first place. “Para sa ating mga basher. The best kayo bashers. We really love you,” Gene said in the video, addressing critics who have mocked his involvement.
The issue erupted after Gene publicly criticized how his brother, Dennis Padilla — Claudia’s father — was treated during the private wedding ceremony held last April 8. Gene and Dennis expressed dismay that Dennis wasn’t given a traditional role, such as walking Claudia down the aisle.
Marjorie, however, clarified that Dennis had agreed beforehand to Claudia’s wish to walk alone — and that Gene had no standing to complain because he was never on the guest list. She also dismissed the claim that the Padillas were mistreated during the event.
Despite the passage of weeks, Gene has kept the conversation alive, even showing off custom T-shirt designs emblazoned with “MU” and “Mr. Uninvited,” seemingly embracing the label and turning the controversy into a badge of honor.
