Sole DXB, the region’s premier contemporary culture festival, returns from December 13 to 15, 2024, with an expanded program that promises to deliver a more immersive and dynamic experience. Taking place at the Dubai Design District (d3), the festival brings together world-class music, art, fashion, and sports in collaboration with Dubai Calendar and d3.
What’s new at Sole DXB 2024
Second stage and extended hours
For the first time, Sole DXB introduces a second stage, offering a broader musical lineup spanning hip-hop, jazz, R&B, dance, and world music. The festival also extends its daily hours from 3 PM to 2 AM, giving attendees more time to explore.
Brand collaborations and exclusive launches
This year features exciting brand activations and exclusive fashion collections:
- adidas Originals debuts the CLOT Dress Capsule by Edison Chen, blending heritage and contemporary streetwear.
- ASICS collaborates with HIDDEN NY to launch the GEL-VENTURE™ 6 SHIELD, with immersive fossil and screen-printing activities.
- Diesel brings the world’s largest street art collective and presents Egyptian rapper Marwan Pablo live on stage.
Immersive experiences
- Sonos House of Sound offers workshops, artist talks, and hands-on experiences with premium audio products.
- Deliveroo x FIX Dessert Chocolatier introduces the SOLED OUT Xperience, an interactive space combining luxury and bold design.
- QASIMI showcases exclusive collections, including the Rising Sun Capsule and the Palestine Collection.
Spotlight by d3
Sole DXB and Dubai Design District (d3) celebrate independent fashion and lifestyle brands through a curated showcase of designers like:
- AZRA: Activewear for bold Khaleeji women.
- This Is Barzakh: Avant-garde, genderless jewelry from Sharjah.
- Peace Venue: A UAE-based brand promoting tranquility through contemporary designs.
Off-Circuit Activities
In addition to the main festival, Sole DXB offers a weeklong series of events around Dubai, including:
- Photography exhibitions at Gulf Photo Plus and Efie Gallery.
- Wellness sessions hosted by PEAQ.
- Film screenings and cultural gatherings in Alserkal Avenue and DIFC.
What’s returning at Sole DXB 2024
Sole INVITATIONAL Basketball Tournament
The three-day basketball event features 14 teams competing across Men’s, Women’s All-Star, and Boys’ Under-19 divisions. Championship Sunday concludes with the semifinals and finals.
Sneaker Swap & Thrift Market
A cornerstone of the festival, the Sneaker Swap & Vintage Thrift Market invites collectors to trade rare finds and explore curated vendors like Spartans Sneakers and 80’s Thrift.
Sole DXB Skatepark
Skateboarding enthusiasts can participate in high-energy contests and open skate sessions. The skatepark continues to foster a vibrant community of skaters.
Power Horse Dance Programme
Celebrating movement, the dance program features freestyle battles, high-energy rounds, and diverse musical styles, including hip-hop, amapiano, and baile funk.
