Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) is teaming up with public and private sector partners to offer free clinical breast exams and mammogram screenings across the UAE in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative is open to female citizens and residents.
According to a Khaleej Times report, FOCP’s Pink Caravan will allow companies to book a Mobile Clinic, offering free mammograms for up to 20 female employees aged 40 and above, and clinical breast exams for 60 employees aged 20 and over. The Pink Caravan Corporate Wellness Day will also provide virtual seminars and vouchers for screenings and exams.
In addition, businesses can arrange awareness seminars for staff and benefit from the Mini Clinic service, offering breast exams and vouchers for free mammograms.
Aisha Al Mulla, FOCP’s director, emphasized the importance of collaboration, saying, “The fight against breast cancer is a collective responsibility. Partnerships with various stakeholders are crucial in spreading the message of early detection.”
