Singer Frankie Pangilinan has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Youth Committee of the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI), a non-profit group known for its nationwide humanitarian and socio-civic initiatives.
The SSFI, composed of the spouses of Philippine senators and other appointed members, has long been active in providing medical missions, disaster relief, housing support for the elderly, and community assistance for marginalized groups. Pangilinan will work alongside prominent members, including Heart Evangelista-Escudero, who was recently reelected as SSFI president, as well as Mariel Padilla and Ciara Sotto, the group’s public relations officers.
Other committee leaders include Mayor Lani Cayetano (Local Government), Vanessa Era (Women & Livelihood), Timi Aquino (Health & Education), and Edna Marcoleta with Usec. Janella Ejercito-Estrada (Social and Public Services). Kathryna Yu-Pimentel serves as the group’s executive director.
