A woman named Abigail, alongside her purported daughter Francheska, came forward asserting to be the former lover and child of the late rap icon, Francis Magalona. They presented a jersey for sale, said to have once been owned by the “King of Rap.”
The jersey showcased a photograph of both Francis and Abigail, accompanied by a touching letter where Francis professed his love for Abigail. Using the letter as proof of their past liaison, Abigail mentioned, “You can see in the letter where he wrote, ‘I love you so much.’ That indicates our relationship.”
Abigail, once a flight attendant, narrated their romance’s origin, starting from a live “Eat Bulaga” show where they met. Following the show, Francis reached out, marking the beginning of their relationship. This bond eventually resulted in the birth of Francheska, whom Abigail asserted was named by Francis himself.
Their relationship persisted even after Francis was diagnosed with cancer, a period that tested them immensely. Abigail reminisced about the pain of that time, saying, “My world really collapsed. We were fine and had many plans, then suddenly he fell ill.” She also emphasized her inability to depart from Francis during his sickness.
On choosing to sell the cherished jersey, Abigail expressed faith in Boss Toyo to cherish and preserve the item. She remarked, “I remained silent for 15 years. I kept quiet about my daughter and me. Perhaps this is the one right action I can take for our child.”
Facing potential scrutiny, Abigail stood firm in her convictions, asserting the genuineness of their past relationship. “I’m aware that people might judge, but our relationship was real. My daughter and I, we exist. He loved us,” she said.
Boss Toyo eventually purchased the jersey for P500,000.
