Four Philippine islands make it to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 top 10 best islands in Asia

Four Philippine islands have been recognized among the top 10 best islands in Asia in the 2024 Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Readers’ Choice Awards. Boracay, Palawan, Cebu & Visayan Islands, and Siargao were all featured in the prestigious list, which was determined by over 500,000 votes cast by CNT readers.

Boracay, famed for its powdery white sands and picturesque sunsets, ranked third with a score of 91.99. The island recently earned the title of Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination at the World Travel Awards in September 2024.

Palawan secured the sixth spot, scoring 90.68, continuing its legacy as a top global destination known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. In early 2024, Palawan also placed fourth in Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Award for Best of the Best.

Cebu & Visayan Islands, with a score of 90.29, took eighth place, while Siargao, a world-renowned surfing haven, rounded out the list in 10th place with a rating of 89.2. Siargao has recently gained international attention after topping Lonely Planet’s list of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia in July 2024.

Other islands in the 2024 CNT Top 10 included Koh Samui in Thailand at the top spot, followed by Langkawi in Malaysia and Phú Qu?c in Vietnam.

The Philippines has consistently performed well in CNT’s annual rankings, with Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao also making the 2023 list. Cebu was previously named Best Island in Asia by CNT in 2020.
