Four new bus routes to start in Dubai as RTA revamps public transport network

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of four new metro link bus routes starting from August 30. The new routes, F39 and F40, will replace the current Route 31, while Routes F58 and F59 will take over from Route F56, each with a 30-minute frequency.

According to a Khaleej Times report, the F39 route will operate from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, while the F40 route will run from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78. Route F58 will serve the area from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, and Route F59 will connect Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village.

In addition to these new routes, RTA is making several changes to existing services. Route 21 will be divided into two new routes, 21A and 21B, providing more focused coverage. Routes 61D and 66 will be merged, as well as Routes 95 and 95A, streamlining services for passengers.

Other modifications include shortened and adjusted routes, like Route 6, now limited to running between Oud Metha Metro Station and Dubai Healthcare City, and Route 99, which will now cover JAFZA One. Intercity route E700 will start from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station, heading towards Fujairah.

Additionally, RTA plans to enhance 35 other bus routes to improve frequency and coverage, aiming to enhance the overall user experience for daily commuters. Passengers are encouraged to review these updates and plan their journeys accordingly.
