Dubai has designated four public beaches exclusively for families during the UAE National Day weekend from November 30 to December 3. The beaches include Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2.
The move comes as both private and public sector employees enjoy a four-day weekend in celebration of the UAE National Day, now known as Eid Al Etihad.
Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, director of Public Beaches and Waterways at Dubai Municipality, stated in a Khaleej Times reprt that the decision aims to manage the high volume of visitors during public holidays while ensuring families can enjoy a safe and pleasant beach experience.
To enhance safety, Dubai Municipality has deployed an integrated safety and rescue team of 135 personnel and a 60-member field supervisory team to oversee beach operations. The civic body, in collaboration with its partners, will closely monitor activities across the designated beaches throughout the holiday.
