Four bands advance to finals of Alfonso Bakbakan Battle of the Bands Season 3 in Umm Al Quwain

The stage is set for the grand finals of the Alfonso Bakbakan Battle of the Bands Season 3, as four groups have officially secured their spots for the championship night happening on February 14 at Barako Grill in Barracuda Beach Resort, Umm Al Quwain.

Organizers announced that the finals event will run from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m., featuring finalist bands Hiraya, Kill D Signal, Lunic, and TRINaBH, as they compete for the season’s top honors and major cash prizes.

The competition offers a grand prize of AED 13,000, with AED 1,200 awarded to weekly winners and AED 3,000 allotted as a consolation prize.

Special guests Kevin, Baryo, and Crows Ravens are also set to appear during the finals night, while the event will be hosted by Big Shaw and ChoKe.

Among the finalists, Lunic has drawn attention as one of the UAE’s rising live rock acts, led by frontman Adi Thomas and known for blending theatrical performance with hard-hitting musicianship. The band has spent the last two years building its name on stages across the country, gradually shaping a sound that combines melodic rock elements with a punchy and polished edge.

The group’s lineup includes Adi Thomas as lead singer, Abraham Paul as lead guitarist, Ethan Gonsalves as rhythm guitarist, Kian DeSilwa as bass guitarist, and Oshada as drummer. Lunic’s musical foundation was formed through Adi’s long-standing collaboration with Oshada, while the addition of guitarists Ethan and Abe helped define the band’s layered and signature sound. More recently, bassist Kian joined the band, adding new momentum as the group prepares to work toward its debut album.

Registration remains ongoing for bands and participants interested in future editions of the competition, with inquiries open through WhatsApp at 054 308 8619 or 052 874 4698, or via email at faith@truebell.org and rm.barako@barracuda.ae.
