The Supreme Court has confirmed that Atty. Michael Poa is now part of the legal team representing Vice President Sara Duterte in her petition seeking to block impeachment proceedings against her.
Poa, who previously served as spokesperson for both the Department of Education and the Office of the Vice President under Duterte, officially filed his Entry of Appearance as co-counsel for the Vice President.
The Vice President submitted the petition last month, asking the Supreme Court to stop her impeachment trial at the Senate through a mandamus plea and a request for a temporary restraining order.
Among the lawyers handling the case are Philip Sigfrid Fortun, Gregorio Narvasa II, Sheila Sison, Roberto Batungbacal, Lucas Carpio, and former President Rodrigo Duterte, the Vice President’s father.
