Fog warning issued for UAE motorists as visibility drops

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has alerted drivers to expect low visibility on Saturday morning due to dense fog over various coastal and inland regions. Visibility could drop significantly, with the red alert expected to last until 9:30 a.m.

Abu Dhabi Police also advised motorists via social media to stay cautious amid the foggy conditions and to adhere to variable speed limits shown on electronic signboards.

Saturday’s weather in the UAE is forecasted to be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with clouds likely forming in the eastern and southern areas. Temperatures are expected to peak at 38°C inland, while mountain areas may experience lows of around 15°C. High humidity levels are anticipated overnight, leading to potential fog or mist by Sunday morning.

Light to moderate winds, occasionally gusting up to 35 km/h, will sweep across the country. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to remain calm with slight sea conditions.
