Philippine Airlines has introduced a new digital connectivity perk for international travelers, allowing passengers to stay online the moment they land overseas through its newly launched myPAL eSIM service.
The flag carrier partnered with travel eSIM provider Kolet to offer customers instant mobile data access upon activation, including 1GB of complimentary data valid for two days. The move is aimed at easing the common travel hassle of buying local SIM cards or dealing with costly roaming fees.
With the digital eSIM, travelers no longer need to physically swap SIM cards. Instead, passengers can redeem their free data by registering via the PAL–Kolet co-branded website or the Kolet mobile app, using the promo code FLYPAL.
Once the initial data runs out, users may purchase additional regional or global data packages through the Kolet app, with subscriptions typically valid for up to 30 days.
PAL vice president for revenue management Christoph Gaertner highlighted the service as part of the airline’s push toward digital convenience.
“The introduction of myPAL eSIM aligns with our vision of providing a complete and digitally empowered travel experience,” he said.
“We are proud to offer our passengers a solution that not only simplifies connectivity but also enhances their overall journey with Philippine Airlines.”
