A passenger was detained for inappropriate behavior towards the cabin crew on an Indigo Airline flight. The event took place on flight 6E 556 flying from Jaipur to Bengaluru. According to the airline’s statement, the man was intoxicated and continued his misbehavior despite multiple warnings.
Indigo Airline reported that the unruly passenger was handed over to local law enforcement upon arrival in Bengaluru. The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to other passengers but did not reveal the identity of the individual involved.
This incident is not isolated in Indian aviation. Last month, a man was accused of causing a disturbance and verbally abusing the crew on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi. The case, registered at Delhi’s IGI Airport Police station, detailed how the accused, Abhinav Sharma from Jalandhar, Punjab, made lewd comments, abused fellow passengers, and disregarded the cabin crew’s warnings on Air India Flight AI 102.
The cabin crew, in their complaint, stated that Sharma’s behavior escalated to making racist comments and showing disrespect towards the country. Despite oral and written warnings, the crew eventually had to restrain him.
