Flight instructor dies in UAE aircraft crash, search continues for trainee

A flight instructor was found dead following a training aircraft crash in the UAE, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GCAA) confirmed on Tuesday. The aircraft, which had a trainee on board, went missing after losing radar contact roughly 20 minutes after takeoff. The instructor’s body was discovered along the shores of Fujairah, Khaleej Times reported.

Rescue teams are actively searching for the trainee, who has been identified as a foreign national, and the remains of the aircraft. The GCAA, which was alerted to the incident upon receiving a report of the accident, has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

The authority expressed condolences to the instructor’s family and assured that it is working closely with relevant bodies to track the ongoing search and rescue efforts.
