The Doha Players are gearing up to present the highly anticipated rock musical We Will Rock You, which will feature five talented Filipino performers. Set in a dystopian future where creativity is suppressed under the rule of the tyrannical Killer Queen, the musical follows two rebellious characters, Galileo and Scaramouche, on a quest to revive the lost spirit of rock music.
Among the standout performers are Joe Doronila, who takes on the lead role of Galileo, and Shaine Ramos, stepping in as the alternate for Scaramouche. Doronila’s portrayal of the visionary rebel is expected to captivate audiences, while Ramos brings fresh energy to the production. Both performers will be joined by Elle Tucker, alternate for the villainous Killer Queen, whose commanding stage presence promises to deliver a gripping performance.
Newcomer Bennette Chan will also take on the role of Oz, contributing a fresh perspective to the ensemble, and Kevin Bitoon, with his professional dance background, will add dynamic movement to the show’s choreography.
