A family from the United Arab Emirates faced a devastating loss. Five members of an Emirati family were killed in a car accident in Ajman, following New Year’s Eve celebrations. The deceased include a couple, their two daughters, and a niece. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, January 1.
The family was returning from Hatta in Dubai, when their vehicle collided with a truck from behind in the Masfoot area of Ajman. Police and paramedics were quickly on the scene. Sadly, the five family members succumbed to their injuries.
In a small relief amidst the tragedy, two other girls who were involved in the crash survived. They are currently recovering in a city hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have concluded that the accident was caused by distracted driving.
