First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will represent the Philippines at the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025 in Dubai from February 11 to 13, according to Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez on January 31, 2025.
The World Government Summit is an annual event that gathers global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss governance, economic strategies, and innovation. This year’s summit will focus on shaping the future of governments and feature speakers from various sectors, including technology and finance.
First Lady Marcos’ participation underscores the Philippines’ engagement in international discussions on governance and development. She previously visited the UAE in June 2024 for a three-day working trip focused on cultural diplomacy and community engagement and also accompanied President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on a one-day visit in November 2024 for discussions on cultural cooperation and women’s leadership.
