A late-night fire erupted at a residential building in Al Barsha, Dubai, near the Mall of the Emirates on Sunday, December 29. The Dubai Civil Defence teams promptly responded to the emergency, arriving at Time Topaz Hotel Apartments shortly after the blaze was reported around 10:30 PM.
Videos circulating online showed flames quickly engulfing the structure as firefighters worked to control the situation. Thankfully, no injuries or casualties were reported, according to authorities. Residents affected by the fire were temporarily relocated to nearby accommodations provided by authorities and the building’s management.

By Monday morning, December 30, the area in front of the building remained partially cordoned off, with only one lane open for traffic. Ground-floor retail shops were also temporarily closed.
An investigation has been launched to identify the cause of the fire.
