Filipinos in Israel receive shelter and aid after missile strike damages flat

Several Filipinos affected by the recent Iranian missile strike in Rehovot, Israel have been relocated to temporary housing provided by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), according to the Philippine Embassy.

The missile, which hit a residential area in Rehovot as part of Iran’s coordinated assault on central Israel, damaged the flat where some Filipinos had been living. Fortunately, they were safely evacuated.

The DMW team responded swiftly, securing a new flat in Rehovot for the displaced residents. Along with the relocation, the team also distributed emergency relief packages containing rice, canned goods, groceries, hygiene kits, clothes, and baby food and supplies.

The missile attack, which also struck parts of the Weizmann Institute of Science and injured over 40 people in the city, has intensified concerns among foreign communities in Israel. conflict continues.
