The Philippine Embassy in Israel has called on Filipinos to remain vigilant and cautious, particularly when using public transportation like buses and trains, following reports of increased threats in public areas.
In an advisory released on February 28, the embassy encouraged Filipinos to move to safer locations at the first sign of danger. For short trips, they were advised to consider walking through busy areas, using bicycles, or riding electric scooters instead of public transport.
Filipinos were also reminded to keep a safe distance from Israeli security forces stationed in sensitive locations and to strictly follow the guidance of Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command.
For emergencies, the embassy shared key hotlines, including Magen David Adom at 101, police at 100, and the embassy’s emergency contact at +972-54-466-1188.
This warning follows similar alerts from other embassies amid heightened security concerns.
“The Embassy values your safety and well-being. Let us all remain vigilant,” the advisory stated.
