Two young Filipino students earned recognition at the Fibonacci EuroAsia Robot Olympiad 2025, held from April 16 to 20 at the Limak Limra Hotel and Resort in Antalya, Turkey. Louise Viviene P. Manila, a Grade 6 student, and Lana Venice P. Manila, a Grade 8 student—both from FAITH Catholic School—secured several awards in the regional robotics competition. They were trained by Erovoutika Robotics and Automation Solutions, a private training institution.
The pair clinched third place in the Drone Rally, and were also recipients of the Special Jury Award in the Mini Sumobot, as well as Jury Awards in Autonomous Drone Programming and Fast Line Following. “It is always a fun and challenging experience to train someone who is interested and competitive in the field of robotics like Lana and Viene,” said Coach James Ryan Justo. “They are always able to combine learning and playing when doing robotics. I can’t wait to see their progress and excel in this field as they grow.”

Aside from her robotics performance, Lana Venice was also recognized in a separate event, the Fibonacci International Mathematics Olympiad, where she earned 3rd place in Category 3. Her mathematics coach, Jeramel Marie M. Llona, noted, “Lana is one of our top students in her batch. She has the initiative to learn and is very hardworking… I was happy that she consistently puts in great amount of effort and dedication for the competition.”

Organized by Fibonacci International, the robotics Olympiad gathers youth participants from across Europe and Asia and serves as a gateway to the global finals in Rome. Since its inception in 2014, the Olympiad has championed robotics education, fostering innovation, problem-solving, and global collaboration among the world’s brightest young minds.
