A wedding steeped in love, pride, and symbolism has captured the attention of Filipinos online after photos of Capt. Ranier Vincent F. Dy and Dr. Nicholai Patricia Puerto-Dy’s civil ceremony in Abu Dhabi went viral.
The union, solemnized under the auspices of the Civil Family Court in the UAE’s capital, was conducted with the presence of a presiding judge and carried the formal blessings of the realm of His Royal Highness Sheikh Al Nahyan. The celebration was made even more significant with the attendance of Philippine Consul General to the UAE, Arvic V. Arevalo, who honored the couple’s reception with his presence.

Dr. Nicholai Patricia Puerto-Dy, MD, MBA, looked radiant in an elegant white dress and tiara. Known in the Philippines as one of the youngest medical directors and the pioneer of the Los Baños Urgent Care Center, she continues to inspire as a physician who has paired clinical excellence with leadership at a young age.
Her groom, Capt. Ranier Vincent F. Dy, MBA, stood proudly in his decorated military uniform. A distinguished pilot, he now serves as the President and CEO of Cyberdyne Industries in the Philippines. His medals and honors reflected a career built on discipline and achievement, now intertwined with devotion to family life.
The couple exchanged vows and rings in a ceremony that balanced the gravitas of officialdom with the intimacy of personal promise. The presence of family, friends, and dignitaries underscored the moment as both historic and heartfelt.

“We are very pleased to announce our civil marriage as husband and wife in this foreign land that welcomed our union,” the couple shared in their announcement, extending thanks to loved ones and supporters who have been part of their journey.
The Dy family, now including their “little angel” Reigna Nichola P. Dy, also acknowledged the joined support of the Felipe-Dy and Adiviso-Puerto clans, who celebrated across borders in spirit and solidarity.
